Chris Bennett, head of the concrete division of Cambrian Services Ltd, is currently undertaking the University Certificate in Professional Development: Concrete Technology at the University’s Centre for Mineral Products, based at the Enterprise Centre. Chris was able to apply the knowledge he has gained through his programme directly to his new role. He said: “The Concrete Technology course had had an immediate impact on my work. I am from a mechanical operations background so the technical design of concrete mixes was new to me. I have now gained knowledge of different types of concrete and this has meant we can now produce concrete for our own contracts and to support other producers on site-based projects.”....read more
