Spanish contractor chooses Bobcat excavators

 E10 and E35 excavator

Transports i Excavacions Jocar purchase E10 and E35 excavator models to deliver higher productivity and efficiency

FOR more than 25 years, Transports i Excavacions Jocar have been in the business of earthmoving, transport, truck-mounted cranes and special excavation projects, as well as the sale of aggregates in the Maresme area of Spain. The company currently has a young team with an enterprising spirit and commitment to the environment, utilizing new technologies to recycle and reuse aggregates.

‘We have a wide range of machinery so we can offer the best quality and optimal solutions for each client's projects and needs,’ explained manager Joan Carles Mora.

‘We also have a crushing plant for recycling concrete, which provides us with subbase and recycled sand for use in other projects. We recently purchased a Bobcat E10 micro-excavator with a zero tail swing (ZTS) design and standard bucket. We also acquired a 3.5-tonne ZTS E35 compact excavator to go with our Bobcat 334 excavator.’

So, why Bobcat equipment? According to Transports i Excavacions Jocar, it was both the quality of the products and the high level of service offered by the local Bobcat distributor.

Mr Mora continued: ‘In the case of the E10 micro-excavator, we chose the machine because it sets us apart from our competitors. The recession has forced us to adapt and offer solutions for jobs that used to be performed manually.

‘What sets the Bobcat E10 excavator apart is its versatility and high productivity for its small size; in short, its productivity. I was amazed by its high working capacity in difficult-to-access areas due to its small size. It has allowed me to perform many jobs that would not have been possible with other excavators. I can truly say that this is the most profitable machine I've ever had.

‘When the time came to replace one of our oldest machines, I took the opportunity to switch to the E35 excavator. With this model, I've noticed a radical improvement in the new generation of Bobcat mini-excavators. The precision of its movements is remarkable, as are its efficient hydraulics, high load capacity and spectacular breakout force. For a 3.5 tonne machine, what impresses me the most is its low fuel consumption. The Auto Idle feature, for example, greatly optimizes fuel consumption.

The latest additions join the company’s machinery fleet which includes: two Bobcat S130s; three S175s; and a T200 compact loader; in addition to the 334 compact excavator.
