New appointment at Komatsu Smart Construction
Daniel Heussen appointed as EU general manager to lead the OEM’s digital offering including Smart Construction Quarry
KOMATSU Smart Construction, the digitalization arm of Japanese OEM giant Komatsu, have appointed Daniel Heussen as European general manager, who will lead the company’s digital offering, including Smart Construction Quarry.
His appointment comes as the brand unveils its mid-term plan to drive partnerships across the European construction and earthmoving sectors, improving efficiency and safety by launching a bundle-first approach to its digital product offering.
In a strategic move to prioritize industry-wide customer connections, Mr Huessen’s new role will also spearhead digital product transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI), leading Komatsu Smart Construction into a new era to become the first-choice solutions partner across all machine brands in Europe.
Over the last 14 years, Mr Huessen has held multiple high-profile roles across Komatsu with a focus on technology and machinery data, as well as supporting the company’s various teams.
Headquartered in Vilvoorde, Belgium, Komatsu Smart Construction are developing bespoke bundles to incorporate digital solutions in Komatsu machines, as well as encouraging more collaboration with customers across their distributor network, strengthening relationships and providing added value.
