Kleemann machines boost recycling productivity for Recicam
Cutting-edge processing equipment delivers on all counts for Spanish waste-recycling operator
FAMILY-owned recycling firm Recicam specialize in processing construction waste, and today, the business runs a state-of-the-art fleet of Kleemann tracked-mounted crushers and screens to help meet the strong demand for recycled products in the Madrid building aggregates market.
The Spanish waste-management firm are no strangers to operating Kleemann mobile equipment and cited the high performance and exceptional end-product quality of the plants as among the key reasons for staying loyal to the German OEM brand.
The company also continues to be impressed by the simplicity and ease of maintenance of the Kleemann crushers and screens, such as the wide platforms that provide good accessibility to critical machinery components. Some of the recent additions to Recicam’s aggregate processing plant fleet include: the Mobicat MC 120i Pro jaw crusher; the Mobiscreen MSS 802(i) Evo screening plant; and the Mobirex MR 130i Pro impact crusher.
‘Our collaboration with Kleemann came about through a customer and friend who was working with a Kleemann MOBICAT MC 110 Evo2 at the time,’ said Juan Manuel Camacho, managing director of Recicam. ‘We took a look at the plant, and it was an excellent match for our application.’
Impressed by the on-site visit, Recicam went on to purchase their first Kleemann machines – initially, two used plants. Today, a total of eight Kleemann plants are part of the Recicam machinery fleet.
The mobile plants are arranged in various combinations at a large recycling site, depending on specific production needs. The Mobicat MC 120i Pro jaw crusher paired with the MOBIREX MR 130i PRO impact crusher, for example, forms an ideal material-processing train for large feed material.
‘These two effortlessly manage materials up to 1,200mm and produce an end-product of exceptional quality. And all that with an impressive output of up to 250 tonnes per hour,’ remarked Mr Camacho. ‘Our plants process up to 4,000 tonnes per day.’
The combination of jaw and impact crushers is utilized to generate final grain sizes of 0-20mm and 20-40 mm, depending on the screen surface configuration.
The MobirexMR 130i Pro impact crusher is utilized alongside the Mobiscreen MSS 802i Evo coarse material screen for contaminated demolition material. The screen can handle 260 tonnes per hour, with one-third directed into the crusher and the remaining portion allocated for drainage construction.
Recicam’s Kleemann crushing plants are equipped with SPECTIVE CONNECT, which allows for easy operation and monitoring, as well as real-time access to important machinery data.
‘Previously, we had to keep going back to the plant to read information. Now we get all the data directly on the display, no matter where we are on the site – production capacity, consumption, everything,’ explained Mr Camacho.
The waste-recycling firm utilizes magnetic separators and wind sifters to achieve maximum purity and produce high-quality end-products. This process removes ferrous foreign materials and lightweight items such as wood and plastic.
