New DX190W-7 excavator helps Alsan Gestión Servicios achieve waste-management and sustainability goals

SPANISH waste operators Aslan Gestión Servicios are using a new Develon DX190W-7 wheeled excavator to help boost recycling productivity whilst optimizing their operations.

In the waste-treatment and management sector – efficiency and speed are essential to providing a quality service tailored to meeting the needs of the environment. Aslan Gestión Servicios had no hesitation in purchasing the DX190W-7, and the machine – characterized by its optimized weight distribution and material handling technology – is proving to be an indispensable tool for the company so far.

Highlighting the exceptional stability and ease of operation of the excavator, Ricardo Álvarez, manager of Alsan Gestión Servicios, commented: ‘We needed a machine for sorting a wide variety of materials. Its ergonomic design and excellent visibility from the cab, combined with its innovative technical features, and ease of manoeuvrability in difficult terrain and limited space, were key factors in our selection of this model.’

Víctor Álvarez, the manager’s son, added: ‘The Develon DX190W-7 wheeled excavator has made a huge difference. It's incredible how easy it is to control, even in the most demanding situations.’

The DX190W-7 has proven to be the ideal machinery choice for sorting rubble and undertaking material screening tasks for subsequent recycling, which are performed at the company’s Toledo plant in central Spain. The excavator, equipped with a 2m bucket and sorting grapple, is perfectly suited to the demands of precision work, maximizing efficiency and reducing downtime for Alsan Gestión Servicios.

The excavator is equipped with hydraulic lines for the hydraulic hammer, quick coupler and rotation/slewing, allowing the operator to quickly and conveniently change attachments as and when required. Power is provided by a fuel-efficient Stage V, six-cylinder engine, with an output of 174hp at 1,900 rev/min.

In addition to the superior operator comfort and machine agility offered by the DX190W-7, the excavator is robustly designed thanks to its reinforced castings, forged steel articulation points, and a heavy-duty dipperstick and boom to withstand high-impact materials.

A 360° panoramic vision camera (automated vehicle monitoring) with unique ultrasonic detection can be optionally installed for enhanced safety. The DX190W-7 also includes non-slip steps and platforms to improve safety when entering/exiting the machine, along with handrails on the upper structure and powerful LED work lights.

Aslan Gestión Servicios say they are delighted with their Develon DX190W-7 excavator, as the company takes decisive steps towards continuous improvement across its operations while making significant strides towards sustainability and circularity.
