New appointment at Volvo CE
Patrik Lundblad appointed senior-vice president of technology with Volvo Construction Equipment
HAVING held a number of senior roles in the automotive industry, Patrik Lundblad has been appointed senior vice-president of technology at Volvo Construction Equipment, effective 1 November 2016.
Mr Lundblad, who has worked for the Volvo Group for 15 years and has also held senior roles with the Saab and General Motors automotive brands, will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Volvo CE’s global technology strategy.
He will report to company president Martin Weissburg and serve as part of the executive management team.
After a period working as a software developer, Mr Lundblad initially joined the Volvo Group as a graduate trainee in 1994, ultimately becoming manager in the global electrical engineering department before leaving the company in 2000.
Since rejoining the Volvo Group in 2007, he has held a number of senior sourcing and procurement roles, most recently as senior vice-president of Volvo Group Purchasing.
