MP Awards bids farewell to Roseanne Hayward
John Bussey takes over as general manager following the retirement of Roseanne Hayward
MP Awards, a division of the Mineral Products Qualifications Council (MPQC), has bid a fond farewell to Roseanne Hayward who has left the organization to enjoy her well-earned retirement.
Ms Hayward had been with the business for nearly 20 years, starting as development manager before a two-year secondment to ProSkills as industry champion. In 2005, she returned as deputy managing director and has now retired from her post as general manager of MP Awards.
When Ms Hayward joined the company in 1999 it was known as EPIC NTO and employed a total of eight people. Since then, the organization has undergone huge transformation and growth to become what is now known as the Mineral Products Qualifications Council (MPQC), employing 50 office and field-based staff.
John Bussey, who joined the business in 2013 as qualification development manager and was responsible for the operational running of the awarding organization as well as being the senior point of contact for the regulatory bodies, has now taken over from Ms Hayward.
Commenting on her retirement, he said: ‘MP Awards is now entering a different era and Roseanne will be missed by every single one of her colleagues. She’s been the steadying force who has kept us all on track.’
