Industrial Fellow

Hugh Datson, an environmental geologist with Dustscan Ltd, has been awarded an Industrial Fellowship by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851.

The Commission awards fellowships and grants to the country’s best post-graduate engineers and their employers to support high-level, university-based science and industrial research. Some 20 awards are made each year with a total value in excess of £1 million.

Mr Datson’s award will assist further development work on matters relating to PM10 and the fingerprinting (geochemical and mineralogical identification) of directional dust from quarries, landfill sites and other industrial establishments.
