Epiroc raise bar on drilling performance
Company unveils next-generation Coprod 89 drill string for quarrying applications
EPIROC have launched the new Coprod 89 drill string, setting a new benchmark in surface drilling performance for quarrying and surface mining applications.
Engineered for durability, precision and productivity, the latest evolution of Epiroc’s proven Coprod technology is said to deliver higher rates of penetration alongside reduced fuel consumption, driven by enhanced flushing capabilities.
Designed to meet the increasingly demanding conditions faced by today’s quarry operators, the Coprod 89 tool system combines the speed of top-hammer drilling with the accuracy of down-the-hole (DTH) drilling, while offering improved wear resistance and simplified maintenance for lower operating costs and longer service life.
Commenting on the launch, Fredrik Gransell, head of strategic marketing – tophammer rock drilling tools, said: ‘This launch is a testament to our commitment to innovation and customer value. The new Epiroc Coprod 89 drill string is built to perform in the toughest conditions, helping our customers achieve more with less.’
