Top safety award for Volvo CE
VOLVO CE have been awarded a RoSPA Gold award for ensuring the health and safety of their employees and contractors. The award scheme, endorsed by NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), recognizes the company’s continued commitment to health and safety best practice, including having a rigorous management system in place to eliminate accidents in the workplace.
David Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager, commented: ‘Volvo CE have shown a commitment to protecting the health and well being of their employees and others. Organizations that do this deserve to have such dedication recognized and that is where the RoSPA awards come in. As well as there being clear ethical reasons and legal requirements for good health and safety management, there is also a strong business case for doing so, such as reductions in lost time, claims and additional costs.
Commenting on achieving the RoSPA Gold award, Val Ledden, managing director of Volvo CE, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to have received this award for the first time in our trading history. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all our employees.’
