Company cements telematics contract with one of the leading concrete suppliers in the South East

TELETRAC Navman have secured a new deal with Axtell Concrete, a leading supplier of ready-mixed concrete, grab/tipper muck-away and aggregate deliveries in the south-east of England, to help them achieve their business goals.

Axtell, who have been providing muck-away, pumping, and concrete delivery services across Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire for more than 30 years, moved their telematics contract to Teletrac Navman to take advantage of the company’s suite of powerful fleet-management solutions, to achieve increased productivity and a reduction in fleet costs.

As a result, the new deal will see Axtell’s 111-strong fleet benefit from a range of tools through Teletrac Navman’s connected fleet-management platform – DIRECTOR. The implementation includes advanced tracking, to provide a comprehensive and dynamic overview of the location and performance, in real-time, of all the cars, vans, volumetric mixers, and plant machines that make up the operator’s fleet.

Additionally, to achieve major gains in fleet safety and compliance, the concrete supplier will benefit from tachograph data, offering remote real-time downloads for accessing and monitoring driver hours.

For added flexibility, Axtell have also adopted DIRECTOR’s Mobile app, which replicates the functionality and usability of the DIRECTOR platform via a smart device, meaning the business can access its data from anywhere, at any time.

Scott Hutchins, UK vice president of sales at Teletrac Navman, commented: ‘Managing transport operations in the construction sector can be complex and challenging, and this is especially true in the case of Axtell, due to their scale of operation.

‘As such, we’re really pleased that with our market-leading solutions, the business can be confident that its fleet is performing at optimal levels of productivity, whilst remaining compliant.’

Russell Hughes, transport manager at Axtell, added: ‘Our supplier selection was determined by a number of factors; we were seeking a new partner who could offer a solution with enhanced functionality and a better return on investment, and Teletrac Navman met all our requirements and more.

‘Beyond their impressive fleet-management solutions, Teletrac Navman have also excelled in customer service, with their professional services team providing support throughout the implementation process, to help our business get the best possible return on investment.’
