Sandvik at Conexpo 2011
Quarry academy to set the theme as company prepares to unveil new equipment at Conexpo 2011
THE Conexpo 2011 trade show in Las Vegas later this month will see the unveiling of several new developments from Sandvik Mining and Construction which are specifically focused on the North American market.
Many old favourites will sit alongside the new products, but a key theme of the event will be the launch of the Quarry Academy, which Sandvik have developed in alliance with Dyno Nobel.
This three-day technical course will address current best practices in unit operations with a focus on systems integration, economic sustainability, process improvement, cost reduction and the use of practical safety as a part of daily work behaviour.
According to Sandvik Mining and Construction, the timing of Conexpo 2011, which takes place in Las Vegas from 22–26 March, could not be better as the company has recently experienced an increase in sales throughout North America.
This growth has been particularly strong in the product lines that have been developed to cater for North America’s specific requirements, including crushers, screens, drill rigs, breakers and associated products.
To highlight the importance of the American market to their operations, Sandvik say their indoor and outdoor stands at Conexpo will include various examples from the company’s different product lines, as well as interactive presentations and access to key people within the Sandvik Mining and Construction organization.
Some of the product lines that will be represented include: mobile crushing and screening; stationary crushers, feeders and screens; drill rigs; tooling displays; tunnelling equipment and simulations; and aftermarket competencies.
