Productivity boost for Tom Prichard Contracting
Company sees production increase after taking delivery of two new Terex Finlay screening machines
A SOUTH Wales-based demolition and plant hire company has boosted production following the arrival of two new Terex Finlay screening machines.
In the last six months Tom Prichard Contracting, based in Llantrisant, have taken delivery of a Terex Finlay 883+ Spaleck unit and a Terex Finlay 893, both supplied by Finlay Plant SW.
Since the machines arrived, the business has seen a marked increase in soil and stone production at its Project Yellow site in Pontyclun, one of four Pritchard recycling facilities.
As one of the leading providers of construction and support services throughout Wales, the Midlands and the South West, the company offers services including site clearance, bulk excavation and infrastructure services, as well as recycling and waste management.
Director Tom Prichard said: ‘I’m confident that the new plant will continue to increase our productivity and ability to supply our customers with the exact products they require.’
The Terex Finlay 883+ Spaleck is producing a top-grade 15mm soil whilst the 893 machine screens all the construction and demolition waste brought to the site.
Regardless of weather conditions, the Terex Finlay 883+ Spaleck works continuously, with its 3D and Flip-Flow technology making it particularly suitable for processing difficult materials such as coal, soil and wood.
Meanwhile, with its aggressive, forward-facing inclined modular screen box with a 20ft x 6ft top deck and an 18ft x 6ft bottom deck, the heavy-duty Terex Finlay 893 produces subsoil and two clean stone products for crushing.
Prichard’s Project Yellow supervisor, Darren Simpson, said: ‘The plant meets our needs and both machines are performing well. We’ve always found that the machines we’ve had from Finlay Plant SW have been very good and reliable.’
Tom Prichard Contracting currently have a fleet of 10 Terex Finlay machines, all supplied by Finlay Plant SW.
Gareth Johnson, managing director of Finlay Plant SW, said: ‘It’s great to see the machines proving their worth out on site and contributing to Pritchard’s continued success.’
