New UK distributor for Fortress Shears
US-based Shearcore appoint Blue Group as exclusive dealer for British market
BLUE Group have signed an agreement with mobile shear manufacturers Shearcore to become sole UK distributor of the American firm’s Fortress range of equipment. The latest deal follows Blue’s recent acquisition of Murray Plant, the exclusive UK dealer for the popular Rammer brand of attachments.
The Fortress excavator-mounted shear attachments are said to be structurally sound and have a reduced number of parts due to their innovative design. The shears feature a patent pending boot with removable side plate that covers the entire tip and doubles the size of the protected area on the guide side of the upper jaw.
They also have a massive pivot group that eliminates the need for auto-guide (puck) and gives the shears a longer service life and better cutting ability.
Adrian Murphy, chief executive officer of Blue Group, said: ‘We are delighted to add this class leading range of shears to our portfolio of equipment. The acquisition will give our customer base within the demolition and scrap industries access to this highly regarded line of products.’
