New mini-excavator from Bobcat
Bobcat have launched a new 4.2-tonne mini-excavator — the 335. With an operating weight with canopy of 4,152kg (4,271kg with a cab), the 335 fills the gap between the 331/334 and 337/341 models in the Bobcat range.
The 335 combines stability and power and performance, including high breakout forces and quick cycle times. Powered by a 30.3kW Kubota V2203-m-di-E2B-BC-4 turbo diesel engine, it has a maximum digging depth with the standard dipper arm of 3,564mm and a maximum reach at ground level of 5,432mm. The slewing speed is 9 rev/min and the boom can swing 90° to the left and 50° to the right. The auxiliary hydraulic flow is 75 litres/min.
The cab is designed to provide maximum operator comfort while reducing the overall height of the machine. At the back of the cab, the tailgate provides strong protection for the engine and other components and opens wide to offer good service access.
Like other Bobcat excavator models, the 335 features a load-sensing hydraulic system for optimum use of hydraulic power in digging applications. A dual outlet piston pump provides increased flow, removing the need for an additional gear pump and enhancing the overall reliability of the machine.
A dual-cylinder blade-float feature is fitted as standard on the 335. Blade float is beneficial when back filling material on hard or finished surfaces as the blade is able to follow the contour of the finished surface, removing only the previously excavated material. It is also useful when it is required for back-drag material.
