engcon and Komatsu strengthen integration with seamless tiltrotator technology
ENGCON, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tiltrotators, are deepening their collaboration with Komatsu to deliver enhanced efficiency and convenience for excavator operators.
The partnership focuses on seamless integration of tiltrotators for Komatsu Dash-12 excavators, simplifying installation while reducing overall costs for end-users. By optimizing compatibility between engcon’s tiltrotator systems and Komatsu’s latest machines, the collaboration aims to improve machine performance, ease of use, and uptime on site.
Under the enhanced integration, engcon DC3 tiltrotators will interface directly with Komatsu’s advanced machine systems, delivering improved precision and highly responsive control. The solution unlocks the full capabilities of Komatsu Intelligent Machine Control 3.0, enabling semi-automatic control of bucket rotation and tilt, as well as functions such as posture hold control, which automatically maintains the attachment orientation.
Connectivity is further enhanced through engcon’s mobile app, remote support functionality and smart tool programmes, ensuring operators are always fully connected and in control.

The Komatsu Dash-12 excavator range, currently comprising the PC220LC-12 and PC220LCi-12, will be expanded with further Dash-12 models as they are released.
The integrated engcon–Komatsu solution is scheduled to be available from January 2026.
