Molson Green say Eggersmann mobile trommel screen the perfect solution for UK market

EQUIPPED with the widest drum diameter on the market and easily changeable trommel screens, Eggersmann say their Terra Select T 60 mobile solution can help UK waste and recycling businesses achieve new levels of throughput without sacrificing size precision.

Suitable for screening a range of shredded waste, including C&D, organic, glass and plastic, the T 60’s drum diameter of 2.2m means more materials can be processed with less blockage risk, achieving a screening capacity of up to 200m3/h.

Different trommel screens are available to process different materials, from solid, punched steel designs for pre-shredded building rubble to fine, segmented wire mesh options for light, organic materials. These can be interchanged quickly and easily using a telehandler through an open-side, hydraulically controlled system. This helps operators maintain tight control over cut sizes while maximizing their safety.

A force-locking sprocket drive turns the trommel, helping to reduce slip risk even when the machine is processing heavy loads of materials. The T 60 is powered by a 75kW (102hp) diesel-hydraulic engine, maintaining high levels of throughput while keeping fuel consumption low.

The hopper size also allows the machine to process large volumes. Available in capacities up to 7.5m3, material can be loaded into the machine via a loading shovel. Powered by a durable form-fit hopper drive, high levels of performance are maintained even with heavy loads.

The tracked model has extra features to maintain the efficiency of the processing train. Adjustable height means operators can easily link the screener into other machines. The incline compensation of up to 7% also helps teams achieve high-quality screening results, even if the ground is uneven. Adding the extra-long conveyor option means material can be discharged into high dumping cones.

Extra tooling options also help maintain screening quality. A stone belt removes heavy impurities, and the magnetic roller separates out valuable metals and discharges them downwards. Plus, an Airfix V 60 wind sifter can be easily attached to the discharge conveyors to remove light impurities such as plastic or film. The reliability of these tools helps operators maintain clean, high-quality material.

To minimize the risk of downtime, the machine has an automatic central lubrication system to keep it running smoothly. The stone grid with the QuickChange system means the discharge side can be changed whenever needed, protecting the T 60 from heavy impurities. A broom scraper also keeps this part of the machine free from build-ups.

Molson Green sales director Thomas McKinver said: ‘Every feature on this machine is designed to maximize efficiency and throughput. From being able to quickly change trommel screens to meet different material feed or customer demands, to the hydraulic track adjustments, this machine helps businesses stay adaptable, which is perfect for the UK market.

‘With the stone belt, magnetic roller and Airfix also available from Eggersmann, it means businesses don’t have to deal with several different manufacturers to keep their machine running. When they purchase from Molson Green, they get their after-sales support wrapped into the package too, keeping businesses protected from downtime.’
