New crusher bucket range from Montabert

Montabert have launched a new range of crusher buckets for use on excavators from 8 tonnes to over 35 tonnes. The crusher buckets mount on any make of excavator, requiring only one-way auxiliary hydraulics to operate. They can crush a wide range of materials including concrete, brick, blocks, asphalt and aggregate on site and are designed for applications in ground works, recycling, demolition, quarrying, construction, waste transfer, refurbishment and excavation.

The crusher buckets can be easily adjusted to produce different sizes of output material, thereby helping to reduce hauling and tipping costs. They can turn useless debris into material that can be used on site, on other projects or sold to other contractors.

There are four standard crusher buckets in the range – CRB501, CRB601, CRB751 and CRB951. The CRB751 and CRB951 are also available as heavy-duty versions.

With an operating weight of 1.5 tonnes, the CRB501 is 1,800mm long, 1,050mm wide and 1,200mm high. It is suitable for excavators in the 10-16-tonne range for use on small to medium crushing jobs. The CRB501 has a load carrying capacity of 0.50m3, a bucket opening of 600mm x 450mm and a jaw opening of 20-100mm.

The next model in the range, the CRB601, is designed for use on excavators weighing 16-24 tonnes. The CRB601 has an operating weight of 2.25 tonnes, a length of 2,080mm, a width of 1,080mm and a height of 1,250mm. The CRB601 has a load carrying capacity of 0.60m3, a bucket opening of 700mm x 550 mm and a jaw opening of 20-120 mm.

The CRB751, weighs 3.5 tonnes and is 2,150mm long, 1,350mm wide and 1,435mm high. Recommended for use on 24-34-tonne excavators, the CRB751 has a load carrying capacity of 0.80m3, a bucket opening of 900mm x 510 mm and a jaw opening of 20-120mm. As well as a higher operating weight of 4.0 tonnes, the heavy-duty version of this crusher bucket, the CRB751HD, has different specifications to the standard model and is designed for carriers ranging from 25 tonnes to 34 tonnes.

The largest model in the range, the CRB951, is designed for jobs on large construction sites and is suitable for excavators weighing over 34 tonnes. With an operating weight of 4.9 tonnes, the CRB951 is 2,450mm long, 1,650mm wide and 1,450mm high. The CRB951 has a load carrying capacity of 1.00m3, a bucket opening of 1,200mm x 450mm and a jaw opening of 20-120mm. In its heavy-duty version, the CRB951HD, it has an operating weight of 5.3 tonnes and can be used on carriers ranging from 35 tonnes upwards.
