Management change at Bell Equipment UK
Nick Learoyd appointed as UK managing director as Neville Paynter takes on new role in North America
NICK Learoyd has been appointed as managing director of Bell Equipment UK Ltd, with effect from 1 June 2013. He succeeds Neville Paynter who is moving to the US to become managing director of Bell Equipment North America.
The appointment changes come as Bell re-enter the North American market with their articulated dumptrucks, following a change to the company’s marketing agreement with John Deere. Bell have now appointed two distributors in the North American territories to begin their sales push into the US and Canada.
Mr Learoyd (pictured), who joined Bell Equipment UK as national sales manager in February 2011, has had a long association with the company, having previously been a customer of Bell in his former role as sales and marketing director for Alfred McAlpine, a position he retained when the company was bought by Carillion in 2008.
Outgoing UK managing director Neville Paynter, who is relocating to North Carolina to take up his new North American position, said: ‘It gives me great pleasure to announce my successor, Nick Learoyd, who will take up the helm at Bell Equipment UK from 1 June.
‘Nick has a very similar passion for the construction industry and more so for the Bell company and its products and customers. I leave with the confidence that he will take the UK business to a new and better level as managing director.’
