Quarry Manager

• Location: Beauly, Inverness

Role:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Quarry Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient management and operation of a busy quarry covering the production of aggregates, ready mix concrete and concrete blocks whilst driving forward our standards of excellence in all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental Management.

Duties will include:

• Managing, coaching and developing a highly skilled team; leading change and continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintaining disciplined stock management processes and producing operational reports

• All aspects of budgetary control for all quarrying operations

• Proactively managing an effective maintenance scheme for the quarry plant and equipment

• Maintaining and implementing standard operating procedures and risk assessments

• Managing and overseeing the safe operation of the plant and the planned preventative maintenance of all of the site’s equipment fixed and mobile with responsibility for your own safety and that of colleagues and business partners

• Reporting and investigating any unsafe or hazardous working practices

• Issuing of safety briefings and toolbox talks to your operational team

• Managing proactively both mandatory training and developmental training of your staff

• Collating and reporting monthly performance KPIs and driving operational performance.
