Lytag FZE announce Middle East appointment

LIGHTWEIGHT aggregate suppliers Lytag FZE have solidified their position in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states by appointing Matthew Carton to the newly created role of specification sales manager – GCC.

Mr Carton, who has extensive experience working with the construction, design and engineering sectors in both the UK and the Middle East, joined Lytag FZE’s new Sharjah office on 27 September.

Lytag FZE are the sole supplier of Lytag lightweight aggregate (LWA), a secondary material often used to create lightweight screeds and structural or precast concrete, or as a fill. It has been used in a number of projects in Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Dubai, including the expansion of Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.

MR Carton’s role will be to engage with existing and potential users of the product throughout the GCC region, as well as providing technical support to ready-mixed concrete, screed and precast producers.

Andy Doel, managing director of Lytag FZE, said: ‘Matthew’s appointment will enable us to continue the growth of our business and our brand in the GCC. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the sector and in the region. This will bring a valuable new dynamic to our team in the UAE and I am confident that he will be a valuable asset to our business.’
