Increasing orders for Reclamite surface treatment
Asphalt rejuvenator to prevent potholes across 1 million square metres of local highways
ROADTECHS Group, a leading manufacturer, supplier, and installer of specialist surface treatment solutions in the UK, are set to prevent potholes appearing across more than 1million square metres of local highway network in 2025 with Reclamite.
Reclamite is a spray-applied treatment that reverses the detrimental impact of weather on roads, preventing cracks and defects which lead to potholes. It is the only BBA HAPAS approved asphalt rejuvenator in the UK.
Roadtechs treated and extended the life of 360,000m2 of local roads during the 2024 surface treatment season. The increase in orders for 2025 suggests local authorities are beginning to invest more in preventive highway maintenance.
General manager Adam Lilley said: ‘Our 2025 order book is currently more than double the work we delivered in the 2024 season. We know that not all of this will happen as things do change, but to have a healthy Reclamite pipeline along with positive discussions about rejuvenation ahead of the next season demonstrates to us that things are changing.
‘It’s great we’re able to share successes like this on National Pothole Day because we’ve put a lot of effort into helping our local authority partners understand the benefits of using rejuvenators like Reclamite. We’re proud to be supporting local government in sustainably repairing their highways rather than always replacing them.’
Aaron Divall, carriageway asset preservation team manager at Kent County Council, commented: ‘Like many other councils, Kent CC has issued a climate emergency statement. We need to explore all possible measures to minimize our carbon footprint, and Reclamite plays a significant role in this effort.
‘The Roadtechs method of working is highly beneficial for the strategic network because it allows all works to be completed under lane closures. It's incredibly quick, cost-efficient, and effectively extends the road lifecycle.’
