Hargreaves appoint non-executive director

New board appointment for former Associated British Ports chief executive Peter Jones
 
HARGREAVES Services plc, the UK’s leading supplier of solid fuels and bulk material logistics, have  announced the appointment of Peter Jones to the board as a non-executive director with effect from 6 June 2014.

He will be appointed a member of the Nominations Committee and Audit Committee and he will also chair the Remuneration Committee.

Mr Jones (pictured) was, until recently, the chief executive of Associated British Ports, the UK’s leading ports group which runs ports including Immingham, the UK’s biggest port by tonnage and the largest coal-handling facility in the UK.

Gordon Banham, chief executive officer of Hargreaves, said: ‘Peter’s experience will be invaluable as we grow our energy-supply business. We look forward to his contribution to the board.’
