Hardox presentation at Swedish Mining Association conference
Johan Anderson, head of business strategy, marketing and technology from the central Hardox Wearparts team presented the company’s value proposition to 150 participants at the recent Swedish Mining Association annual conference in Stockholm.
Many of the top managers from Swedish mines and other related industries were among the participants. Johan Anderson explained that the mining industry has traditionally been very smart when fixing installations that break down. With the help of new technology, Hardox Wearparts are increasingly successful with preventive maintenance and production efficiency.
Today, Hardox Wearparts use three-dimensional scanning technology to measure both installations and machines in order to reverse engineer them and supply accurate repair solutions with extremely short lead-times. Another example of the technology Hardox Wearparts are using is on-line wear-monitoring systems, whereby Hardox Wearparts can measure the wear on crushers and other kinds of process equipment.
With a growing and broader know-how about material solutions, Hardox Wearparts say they are on the way to being able to take complete functional responsibility for wear management in the mining industry.
