FM Conway certified under latest ISO revisions

FM Conway

Company among the first to achieve certification under 2015 revisions to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

FOLLOWING a comprehensive audit by the British Standards Institution (BSI), South East-based infrastructure services company FM Conway achieved certification to the 2015 revisions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 just three weeks after the new standards were formally launched, making them one of the first 100 companies worldwide to do so.

Chief operating officer Andrew Hansen commented: ‘FM Conway have been certified for ISO 9001 since 1995 and for ISO 14001 since 2003. The rapidity of our recommendation to the 2015 revisions shows that we were already meeting the new requirements even before they were published and is testament to our continued commitment to upholding internationally recognized values of efficiency and customer satisfaction.’

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard which sets out the requirements for a quality management system, with more than a million organizations certified to it globally. ISO 14001 sets out the requirements for an environmental management system. All ISO standards are reviewed every five years to ensure that they remain  relevant for the marketplace.

Following the BSI’s audit, the high recycled content building materials produced at FM Conway’s Heathrow manufacturing plant have also achieved CE product certification, signalling their compliance with the European Union’s safety, health and environmental protection standards.
