Fast Track to success with Blue Group

Sunday Times Fast Track 100 awards

Company awarded 70th place in the recent Fast Track 100 awards published in The Sunday Times

BLUE Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of processing and handling equipment to the waste recycling, scrap processing and quarrying industries, were awarded 70th place in the recent Sunday Times Fast Track 100 awards.

The Fast Track 100 league table, which is published in The Sunday Times each December, ranks the top 100 private companies in Britain with the fastest-growing sales over the last three years.

Blue Group, who complement their nationwide distribution of capital machinery with a specialized focus on spare parts and service, say the after-sales area of the business has proved to be extremely successful during the recent economic downturn, as some companies have chosen to repair rather than replace their existing machinery.

The company will receive its award at a special ceremony in May, held at Richard Branson’s home in Oxfordshire.

Blue Group chairman Pat McGeary described the award as ‘huge recognition’ of the hard work put in by everyone within the Group and also the continuing loyalty of the company’s customers.

‘Through these challenging times we have strived to become more efficient while improving our service and product offering to clients,’ he said. ‘We are delighted to have received such a prestigious award and look forward to driving the business forward in the coming years.’

Blue Group were formed in 2004 when Mr McGeary teamed up with Brian Maxwell, Eugene Donnelly and Austin Carey, and together they say they plan further acquisitions along with additional OEM distribution partnerships in growing markets.

The company currently has exclusive distribution rights for cutting-edge technologies from Terex Powerscreen, Terex Fuchs, Doppstadt and several other leading brands.
