Epiroc to streamline European production
Company to consolidate European manufacturing of its hydraulic attachment tools
EPIROC have announced that they are to consolidate their hydraulic attachment tools manufacturing in Europe to other existing production facilities in Kalmar and Fagersta, Sweden, and Dermbach in Germany
According to the company, this will improve the efficiency of its tools and attachments offering and strengthen the competitiveness of Epiroc as a business.
As a result of the changes, the Essen manufacturing site in Germany will be closed and 130 employees will be affected.‘We regret that this consolidation will affect our colleagues in Essen,’ said Helena Hedblom, Epiroc’s president and chief executive officer. ‘These actions, however, are necessary to safeguard that we remain competitive within hydraulic attachment tools. We will ensure that our customers get the best products and solutions possible also onwards.’
