Digging deeper with updated Sennebogen demolition machine
German OEM introduces new digging boom and bucket features on 830 E Demolition Vario Tool
IN the present climate, high-quality construction solutions are needed to tackle urban demolition projects not just holistically, but also effectively and economically. With this in mind, waste-recycling and preparatory activities for new construction projects are now an integral part of the repertoire of modern demolition contractors.
At this month’s bauma exhibition, Sennebogen will be showcasing two brand-new equipment features specially engineered for the 51-ton 830 E Demolition Vario Tool machine – a robust digging boom with a reach of 12m and an accompanying digging bucket with a capacity of 1.7m³.
In recent years the Sennebogen 830 Demolition excavator has proven itself to be a complete all-rounder in demolition, demonstrating its flexibility and performance particularly on confined, inner-city construction sites.
The machine’s compact dimensions, Stage V engine, and high load capacity with a full 360-degree swivelling range have been praised by Sennebogen customers and end-users alike. Another notable feature of the 830 Demolition unit is its impressive maximum 4.5m track width, which is said to be the widest support square in this machine class to ensure secure footing and vibration-free working, especially on heavy-duty tasks.
With the new, additional equipment options fitted on the 830 E Demolition Vario Tool, the latest excavator offering from Sennebogen is even more productive and versatile. The digging boom on the machine – known as EA12 – is a robustly constructed three-part boom, which offers lifting capacities of up to six tonnes.
With a choice of two kinematic positions made available, the operator can carry out heavy demolition work at height or select the angled KA position, which allows the 830 Demolition Vario Tool to provide a maximum digging depth of 5m, making it suitable for earthworks and foundation jobs.
The compact nature of the demolition machine and the flexibility of the boom also help make it easy to transport on a low-loader. Equipped with the new 1.7m³ digging bucket, the demolition excavator can not only carry out demolition work but also conventional earthmoving tasks, such as excavation, foundation work or loading waste on to trucks.
The Sennebogen 830 E Demolition Vario Tool also benefits from an optional fully hydraulic quick-change system that allows booms and attachments (eg grabs, pulverizers etc) to be changed rapidly at the touch of a button.
