D Tolson & Sons purchase flagship Dynapac paver
Surfacing contractor strengthens fleet with addition of new SD2500WS paver
D TOLSON & Sons have added a new SD2500WS model to their growing fleet of Dynapac pavers. The machine will be used in the Cumbria, southern Scotland and Lancashire regions, helping D Tolson & Sons maintain their reputation for superior surfacing.
The company has won many of its contracts in the private sector, particularly new housing projects.
Alan Tolson, a partner in the surfacing firm, explained why he chose the SD2500WS: ‘It’s far more usable than competitor machines; the toggles on the control panels at the back of the machine offer better control than the buttons on other pavers where it can be all too easy to make a mistake. We will be using the new paver to lay 6,000 tonnes at Iggesund Biomass, a new paperboard biomass mill in Workington, Cumbria.
Mark Black, business line manager for road construction equipment at Dynapac, added: ‘The sale represents our renewed commitment to all surfacing contractors in the UK and Ireland, large or small and whatever the type of application.’
The new SD2500WS paver complements D Tolson & Sons’ range of Dynapac machines, including a F121 and the first ever F6 model to be sold in the UK. The SD2500WS combines superior paving performance with high levels of operator comfort and fuel-efficiency.
It is part of a renewed focus from Dynapac on the UK market, offering more ergonomic, economical and robust machines for these tougher economic times.
