Anderton Concrete acquire G-Tech Copers Ltd
Strategic acquisition for Ibstock-owned leader in innovative railway station platform edging solutions
ANDERTON Concrete, the rail and infrastructure category specialists who are a part of the Ibstock Group, have acquired G-Tech Copers Ltd, the innovative designers and suppliers of concrete railway station platform copers that are said to achieve the greatest reduction in embodied carbon on the market today.
The acquisition represents a further strategic step in broadening Anderton Concrete’s rail and infrastructure offering, as the rail industry seeks lower-carbon solutions.
Anderton and G-Tech partnered in 2020 to develop a more sustainable platform coping product to help the rail sector work towards increasingly stringent and binding carbon reduction targets. The result was a concrete platform coper with embodied carbon reduced by 80%, significantly outstripping the 30–40% reductions typically achieved by other competing solutions.
The new product is described as a game-changer for key organizations within the rail sector and underlines Anderton’s commitment to supporting their customers as they address their sustainability challenges.
