Contract crushing and screening company expands rapidly with McCloskey equipment

Paul Chapman and Sons Ltd, specialists in contract crushing and screening, have been in business for a number of years providing crushers, screens, dumptrucks, loading shovels and excavators for operations across the country. 

They have recently increased their fleet’s crushing capabilities by investing in a second I44R mobile tracked impact crusher from McCloskey Equipment.

The new crusher is currently being used to process blasted rock at a quarry in the UK but is suitable for a diverse set of applications across a range of industries. For example, firms working in construction, demolition and other industries that demand flexible, high-volume stone crushing equipment have deployed the I44R, as well as those in the business of quarrying and recycling

Innovative crushing technology

One of the main attractions of the I44R, in particular, is its recirculation system, which automatically feeds oversize material back into the crusher to ensure the most consistent crushing possible. This can significantly reduce processing time by putting a finished product on the ground or into a screener to make several sized products.

Operators are also said to favour the machine because of its user-friendly design and the attention to detail that makes day-to-day operations run smoothly. Features that are often praised include the machine’s accessible engine bay and easy-to-use control panel. A range of sensible options is also available, such as dust suppression and an overband magnet, among others, to further enhance the versatility of the machine. Management also praise the I44R because of its low downtime and high throughput.

Over the years Paul Chapman and Sons Ltd have accumulated a number of McCloskey crushing and screening machines. Currently their fleet includes: three R105 screeners; one R155 unit; one S130 triple deck; one S130 double deck; and two I44R impact crushers with the recirculation system.
