World’s first ‘emission-free’ asphalt roller

Dynapac claim to have developed the world’s first completely battery-driven roller – the conceptual CC900E. In addition to being emission free (diesel, gasoline and fume), the new roller is very quiet in operation and delivers the same compaction performance as its diesel-driven counterpart, the CC900. 

The CC900E model boasts twin electric-drive motors which ensure comfortable, smooth travel and, together with electric-vibration motors, generate high-quality compaction results. 

For normal tasks, the electric-driven roller can work for a full day on a single charge and then be recharged overnight. Thanks to its low noise level benefits and exhaust-free drive, the machine is suitable for work in noise-sensitive environments. 

The Dynapac CC900E is currently being evaluated and trialled by some of the company’s customers and is yet to go into full production.
