WIENERBERGER UK and Ireland have announced the appointment of Jennifer Halliday as their new chief financial officer (CFO). With a career spanning various industries and continents, she brings a wealth of financial experience and a deep understanding of the building and manufacturing sectors.

Ms Halliday is a new addition to Wienerberger’s UK board and will focus on regional development, playing a central role in integrating the company’s acquired businesses across the UK and Ireland into one cohesive structure.

Key to this role will be change management through Wienerberger’s sustainable transformation programme. In recent months this has included the introduction of the first commercial-scale implementation of electric kilns using 100% renewable energy within the clay roof-tile manufacturing sector at the company’s Broomfleet factory.

Keith Barker, chief operating officer of Wienerberger UK and Ireland, said: ‘We are thrilled to introduce Jennifer Halliday as our new chief financial officer who will lead our finance team and finance transformations.

‘Jennifer brings experience in finance, organizational growth and strategic development, with an innate understanding of the industry. Her skills make her a valuable asset to our leadership team, and we are excited about the impact she will have on driving Wienerberger’s continued success.’

Ms Halliday said: ‘I’m delighted to be part of the Wienerberger team at such a pivotal time during this exciting next phase of growth and innovation. The opportunity to work for a business at the forefront of the construction industry that plays such a positive role in building sustainable new homes, aligning with the UK’s net-zero targets and the evolving needs of our customers, genuinely excites me.

‘I’m looking forward to leveraging my experience in finance and people development to drive regional integration and to contribute to Wienerberger’s mission of providing outstanding, sustainable building solutions.’

In previous positions, Ms Halliday has been involved in championing diversity and inclusion in the workplace by participating in projects to support women in business, which she plans to continue at Wienerberger.

She succeeds Paul Stevenson, who served as the financial director at Wienerberger for 17 years.
