Hitachi Construction Machinery UK raises £25,000 for The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity
Hitachi Construction Machinery UK (HCMUK), a leading name in the construction, quarrying and demolition equipment market, have raised £25,000 for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity after auctioning a vintage UH063 machine the company owned.
The UH063 machine was sold to the highest bidder, Paul Poulter, director at Surrey Excavations, with all proceeds going to The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, a charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.
The cheque was presented to a representative from the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity on Wednesday 22 June at the Hillhead show by HCME president, Ikeda San.
Speaking about the auction, Dave Roberts, CEO at HCMUK said: ‘HCMUK are delighted to present this cheque to the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity to support the excellent and important work they undertake to support those employed in the construction industry.
‘We’d also like to say a very special thank you to our highest bidder, Paul Poulter, director at Surrey Excavations for his very generous contribution.”
