Terex Trucks to launch the Gen10 TA400

Terex TA400 dumptruck

Company to unveil next-generation articulated hauler and launch new warranty offering for customers

TEREX Trucks’ Conexpo-Con/Agg offering will be fronted by the Generation 10 TA400, a durable EU Stage IV/Tier-4 Final emissions-compliant articulated hauler designed to ensure that customers benefit from lower operating costs and increased performance – even in the toughest of terrains.

The 40-ton capacity hauler – the largest in Terex Trucks’ articulated hauler family – is also the first product to be launched by Mortherwell-based Terex Trucks since their acquisition by Volvo Construction Equipment.

To ensure productivity in all haul conditions, the Gen10 TA400’s engine and drivetrain have been optimally matched, utilizing automatic adaptive shifting and a pre-selected two-speed transfer box (drop box). Cushioned stops on the steering cylinders have been integrated to provide operators with a more comfortable ride, and the cab also features an enhanced air-conditioning and ventilation system.

Terex Trucks say they are committed to offering the very best aftermarket support available to maximize operational output, and to back this commitment the company is upping the ante with the launch of an extended two-year or 6,000h warranty package on all factory-approved Terex Trucks parts.

Moreover, Terex Trucks will offer customers in the US and Canada three years of full machine warranty, three years’ planned maintenance, and three years’ telematics as standard. Available with Terex Trucks’ line of Generation 10 articulated haulers, this brand new initiative is the first of its kind for the manufacturer, and a further commitment and testament of its belief in the reliability and quality of its products.

‘Terex Trucks will always strive to offer competitive packages to support products and let customers know that we’re in their corner,’ commented Matt Deloglos, director of sales and marketing Americas at Terex Trucks.

Also on display at Conexpo will be Terex Trucks’ proven performer, the TR60 rigid hauler. With a payload of 55 tonnes, this versatile dumptruck is designed for hauling in arduous environments.

Fitted with a 19-litre Cummins six-cylinder engine that boasts gross power of 522kW (700hp) and maximum torque of 2,981Nm, the TR60’s drivetrain gear reduction provides high levels of rimpull to power the machine up the steepest of gradients, while a high-capacity haul body makes for low retention carry-back and cleaner dumping.

‘Conexpo will see Terex Trucks make their Las Vegas debut as a stand-alone brand, so it’s only right to do it big,’ said Paul Douglas, director and general manager at Terex Trucks. ‘The company is now in a confident position and is transforming the way the brand goes to market.

‘We’re excited to launch the new two-year factory-approved parts warranty, as well as the three-year package on all Gen10 machines, which I believe is an OEM first and solid proof of Terex Trucks’ commitment to customers, and the confidence in our products.’
