Terex Finlay introduce the 674 tracked screen
Compact, versatile and adaptable triple-deck inclined screen makes its debut at Hillhead 2016
TEREX Finlay launched their 674 tracked inclined screen at the recent Hillhead 2016 exhibition. The new screen is said to be a highly versatile and adaptable machine engineered and built for work in quarrying, mining, construction and demolition debris, topsoil, recycling, sand, gravel, coal and aggregate applications.
Compact and easily transportable, the 674 offers operators rapid set-up and tear-down times and features a new screenbox with three inclined decks – top and middle deck: 3.66m x 1.52m (12ft x 5ft); bottom deck: 3.00m x 1.52m (10ft x 5ft) – giving a large screening area of 170 square feet for efficient, high-capacity screening.
The screenbox features quick wedge tensioning (top and middle deck), access holes, and a bottom-deck hydraulic tensioning system to reduce the time required for mesh changes, whilst all four discharge conveyors fold hydraulically, with the fourth ‘oversize plus’ product conveyor capable of working at varying angles for accurate material discharge for recirculation and stockpiling.
A high-performance, 1,050mm (42in) wide belt feeder with hydraulic variable-speed drive is fitted to the machine as standard, offering proven performance and versatility in demanding and varied working environments. The 674 has an 8 cubic metre (10.5 cubic yard) capacity feed hopper as standard and can be fitted with a remote-control hydraulic tipping grid.
Powered by a Caterpillar C4.4 air-cooled engine, the machine’s heavy-duty crawler tracks and optional radio remote-control unit make on-site mobility very easy. Moreover, the fully self-contained plant can be hydraulically folded and ready for transport in less than 30 minutes, making it particularly suitable for contract screening applications.
