Company manufactures 210ft telescopic radial stacking conveyor for Texas frac sand operation
SUPERIOR Industries Inc., the US-based manufacturers and global suppliers of bulk material processing and handling systems, have manufactured the first ever 210ft (64m) road-portable telescoping radial stacking conveyor.
Designed and built for a frac sand operation in Texas, the 210ft long TeleStacker conveyor is said to be the longest system of its kind ever built.
The conveyor has a stockpiling capacity of 400,000 US tons (363,000 tonnes), some 30% more than any other telescoping conveyor on the market.
And according to Superior Industries, the 210ft TeleStacker conveyor is less than half the cost of a fixed or stationary tripper conveyor with the same capacity.
In addition to high-capacity frac sand applications, Superior say sites that need to build inventory with large-tonnage stockpiles may benefit from a longer unit such as this.
Similarly, in ship-loading applications, a 210ft telescopic conveyor can fill a vessel’s hold more completely than shorter models.
