Robust monitor for harsh environments
VEHICLE safety specialists Brigade Electronics have launched a new camera-monitor system featuring an extremely rugged design for use in severe weather conditions.
The BE-970 FM system is water resistant to IP67 and features a 7in TFT LCD anti-glare monitor designed specifically for construction, mining, quarry and agricultural applications, especially on vehicles and mobile plant machinery with operator positions that are exposed to the elements.
Brigade Electronics say they have taken this technology to the next stage with a robust design that conforms to SA-J1455 for use in harsh environments and ISO 13766:2006 standards for electrical compatibility for earthmoving machinery.
Mounted on a heavy-duty bracket for greater resistance to shocks and vibrations, the BE-970 FM monitor has picture-in-picture screen options that allow the driver to view all blind spots on one monitor.
Single, split and quad viewing options can be selected for safe and easy manoeuvring, with four camera inputs for front, side and rear views. The image options can be selected by means of five auto-trigger signals, such as selecting the turn indicator or reverse gear.
