Rema Tip Top acquire Emil Riv
Acquisition of conveyor technology specialist strengthens market position in northern Italy
REMA Tip Top have acquired the conveyor technology division of Nuova Emil Riv srl, effective 1 January 2022, specialists in the installation of rubber conveyor belts, idlers, and anti-wear linings in the quarry, industrial, and construction sectors, among others.
Nuova Emil Riv were founded in 1981 and operate mainly in the Emilia Romagna region, but occasionally also across the rest of northern Italy.
Previously, Rema Tip Top subsidiary Rivolta Tip Top Industriale spa have operated five service centres in Italy, but none in the Emilia Romagna region.
The acquisition will strengthen Rema Tip Top’s strategic position in this market, whilst at the same time the Emil Riv site will benefit from the sales power and extensive product portfolio of its new parent company.
The company name ‘Emil Riv’, which is well established in the region, will be retained.
