RDS achieve ‘self-verification’ status
Company accredited to calibrate and verify Loadmaster 9000i for use in Class IIII commercial transactions
RDS Technology, specialists in electronic weighing technology, have been accredited with self-verification status, allowing both them and their network of authorized distributors to accelerate the field-verification process for the Loadmaster 9000i on-board weighing system.
The Loadmaster 9000i is a ‘legal for trade’ weigher that allows product to be sold from the printed ticket. Typically fitted to a wheel loader, the Loadmaster 9000i effectively transforms a loading shovel into a mobile weighbridge that conforms to class Y(b) levels of accuracy.
The company’s quality system for production, testing and final product inspection, which was subject to scrutiny by the National Measurement Office, fulfilled all obligations laid down by the Measuring Instruments Directive 2004/22/EC, making RDS the first company to achieve such accreditation in the UK.
Now, subject to a signed agreement and passing a rigorous training programme, RDS’s European distributor network will not only be able to install Loadmaster 9000i systems, but also calibrate and verify them as suitable for use in Class IIII commercial transactions.
RDS say this will make the installation and calibration process easier and more time-efficient for end-users.
