Powerscreen double for Duo
DUO have been presented with not one but two awards by Powerscreen to recognize their achievements and position in the Powerscreen global dealer network over the past 12 months. DUO, who hold Powerscreen dealerships in England and Ghana, have received an award for each of their territories. These awards were presented at the Powerscreen Dealer & Customer Evening held in Las Vegas during the ConExpo show.
Powerscreen employ a dynamic balanced scorecard approach to monitoring dealer performance regularly throughout the year. The scorecard rewards distributors for superior achievement across a range of business disciplines including: providing excellent customer support; achieving machine and parts sales targets; financial management and commitment to the Powerscreen brand. ‘Gold’ status is awarded to all top-tier distributors, but each year the company recognizes the efforts of a select group of distributors.
DUO Africa, the latest addition to the DUO Group, achieved third place out of 120 dealers worldwide after only 10 months of trading following their appointment as Ghana dealer at the Bauma Exhibition in April 2013. Having developed a customer base across multiple African countries, through remote working and much travelling over recent years, DUO made the decision to set up not just a regional trading office but also a parts depot with a team of expat service engineers. Luke Talbot, DUO Africa director, commented: ‘Success in our industry comes from teamwork, the ability to offer superior back up service and focusing on our customers' long-term needs. To achieve such an award so early in DUO Africa’s life is fantastic and the next few years should be very exciting as we develop our presence in the region.’
The third place dealer in 2013 went on to take top spot this year and DUO Africa have progression in mind for the coming year.
DUO Equipment, DUO’s UK dealership, received a ‘Top Ten’ award. Fintan McKeever, DUO equipment director, commented: ‘Having had success in both quarrying and recycling applications the attitude towards the Powerscreen brand is as strong as ever, but in a competitive marketplace our customer support has been a key driver. Having diversified into new markets in recent years this is a positive sign, not just for DUO but for the UK industry as a whole. I see our success as indicative of the recovery of domestic market, relative to the rest of the world.’
Alex Moss, DUO Group CEO, added: ‘This is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved in our business. It is a pleasure to work with Powerscreen in the development of new products and new markets. Every member of the DUO team, both in the UK and abroad, can be proud of their hard work and determination.’
