O’Keefe Group purchase 26 new JCB machines
Major fleet deal for London-based firm includes demolition-spec X Series excavators
O’KEEFE Group have placed their largest ever order for JCB equipment in a 26-machine deal worth in excess of £2 million.
Supplied by dealers Greenshields JCB, the order includes JCB X Series crawler excavators, a number of which have been supplied with the manufacturer’s XD demolition specification. O’Keefe have also invested in several tracked excavators (14-37 tonne), a series of zero-tail-swing compact excavators and a 525-60 compact Loadall telescopic handler. JCB’s LiveLink telematics system has also been fitted across the new fleet.
The first batch of machines has already been delivered and put to work on a series of high-profile projects, including: bulk earthworks on the Wembley Park regeneration; a demolition contract at Creed Court opposite St Paul’s Cathedral; and groundworks on the Thames Barrier scheme.
Lee Horsley, managing director of O’Keefe, commented: ‘We have selected the JCB models to assist in the delivery of our core services, such as bulk earthworks, demolition, groundworks and soil stabilization. The size, performance and versatility of the JCB equipment make it right for our work.
‘The aftermarket service from Greenshields JCB has also been excellent. Good quality back-up is very important. And the JCB LiveLink system is an added benefit, providing valuable data on machine activity across our fleet.’
