New Terex Finlay plant for Staffordshire waste operator
Tidysite Skip Services invest in new J-960 mobile crusher to help meet increased recycled aggregate demand
FAMILY-run Tidysite Skip Services have taken delivery of a new Terex Finlay J-960 mobile plant from Finlay Central, part of the Finlay Group of companies. The 30-tonne J-960 is currently the most compact machine in the Terex Finlay range, making it a suitable for work in both small- and medium-sized processing areas, where space is limited.
Tidysite Skip Services chose the Terex Finlay J-960 as a space-saving solution for their new transfer station, where it is crushing incoming inert demolition waste and hardcore derived from their skip hire business.
Featuring a single-toggle direct-drive jaw crusher that provides high capacity with large reduction ratios, the mobile plant is also available for hire to local customers involved in demolition, recycling and quarrying activities.
The Terex Finlay machine is equipped with a heavy-duty hopper with integrated vibrating grizzly and pan feeder as standard, and its compact size, superior mobility and high crushing capacity are further enhanced by the option of selectable discharge to either the by-pass conveyor or main conveyor.
Andy Hampton of Tidysite Skip Services said: ‘The crusher joins our expanding fleet and we’ve introduced it to our new site. It’s been a big step for us, but it means that we no longer have to hire a crusher and we can process material whenever we need to. Importantly, we can now accept more material from new and existing customers, as well as having additional recycled products on offer.’
Neil Bailey, sales director of Finlay Central, added: ‘The size and weight of the J-960 means it can be put onto a low loader and be working on a job in no time. It’s the ideal machine for Tidysite Skip Services – the compact size of the plant reduces the amount of space it takes up at their transfer station. We’re really happy that we’ve found a machine that suits their business needs so well.’
