New Terex Finlay plant for Staffordshire recycling firm

Terex Finlay 683 Supertrak

Cold Carr Recycling Ltd expand operations with the purchase of Terex Finlay 683 Supertrak

STONE-based Cold Carr Recycling have recently acquired a new Terex Finlay 683 Supertrak from local dealers Finlay Central. The aggregates recycling specialist has seen its business grow on the back of a commitment to environmental best practice and the production of high-quality materials in conjunction with an ongoing investment in the latest plant and machinery.

Furthermore, Cold Carr Reyclcing have started to work closely with private quarrying operators, supported by two dedicated crushing teams and have recently operated in Yorkshire, North Wales and Worcestershire.

The 683 Supertrak is helping the business to produce high-specification materials for re-use in asphalt from highways maintenance arisings and this needs to be of the highest quality to meet the demands for surface dressings.

Material is crushed before being fed into the 683 screening plant, which is then screened to –6mm, 6–14mm and 14mm+, as well as the option of a 25mm single size. The 683 Supertrak is renowned for its quality, performance and productivity, combining scalping, screening and stockpiling into one self-contained unit.

Featuring a 3.66m x 1.5m screen, this allows the machine to handle materials such as sand and gravel, limestone, crushed stone, coal, topsoil and demolition waste, while a remote tipping reject grid, hydraulic screen tensioning and three on-board hydraulic folding conveyors are available as standard.

Neil Bailey, sales engineer at Finlay Central, part of the Finlay Group of companies, said: ‘For almost 15 years we have supplied and hired plant to Cold Carr Recycling. It’s great to see this family business grow and build on its success with a strong commitment to using the latest machinery combined with a high-quality ethic.’
