New secondary belt cleaner from Superior
Minnesota-based company to debut its Exterra secondary belt cleaner at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2017
SUPERIOR Industries Inc., US-based manufacturers and global suppliers of bulk material processing and handling systems, have expanded their line of Exterra belt cleaners with a secondary model.
Segmented into 3in urethane chunks with tungsten carbide tops, the belt cleaner’s blade is engineered for long life and efficient material shedding. Superior’s design allows the blade segments to individually conform to the belt for effective cleaning, while the cleaner’s blade angle is adjustable to accommodate mechanical and vulcanized splices.
Designed for straightforward, quick conveyor installations, the Exterra secondary belt cleaner is suitable for belt widths from 18in to 72in and belt speeds up to 5.1m/sec.
The latest model will debut alongside a number of new products from Superior at next month’s Conexpo exhibition. ‘We’re excited to show the industry a lot of new products,’ said Matt Wulf, components operations manager for Superior. ‘We work really hard to be a solutions provider, to bring products to the market that solve a problem.’
