New MD for Brett Landscaping

Alastair Forbes succeeds Alan Smith who has been promoted to chief operating officer of Brett Group

BRETT Landscaping and Building Products have appointed Alastair Forbes as their new managing director. He succeeds Alan Smith who has been promoted to chief operating officer of the Brett Group.

Having worked for more than 30 years across a variety of areas within the building products sector, Mr Forbes (pictured) has held a number of high-profile roles, most recently with Braas Monier, a manufacturer and supplier of building products, where he progressed from managing director Benelux through to country manager UK and finally vice-president and business segment director. Prior to this he was chief operating officer for Lafarge Roofing in China.

‘Brett Landscaping is synonymous with quality and excellent service, and it is this reputation which attracted me to the role,’ explained Mr Forbes.

‘There is also a fantastic opportunity for growth and development and I believe I am joining the company at a very exciting time. I am very much looking forward to taking Brett forward into what I’m sure is an extremely bright future.’

Alan Smith, now chief operating officer of the Brett Group, commented: ‘Although I am sad to be leaving for an exciting new role within the Brett Group, we are delighted to welcome Alastair to Brett Landscaping.

‘He brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge which we believe will be invaluable to the company, helping to support and develop Brett Landscaping in the years ahead.’
