Metso to introduce game-changing crushing technology

Metso Lokotrack Urban mobile crusher

Company says it will reveal one of the most significant product innovations in decades

METSO say they will be unveiling game-changing crushing technology for the aggregates industry at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2017. The launches include what is described as one of the most significant product innovations in the industry in decades – a revolutionary crusher that increases uptime while cutting operational costs – as well as Metso Metrics Services, an out-of-the-box fleet monitoring and management solution.

‘We are extremely excited to unveil a brand new crusher that will revolutionize the aggregates industry,’ said Simon Pelletier, Metso’s senior vice-president USA & Canada. ‘With unparalleled features that boost profitability and operational flexibility, Metso are delivering what’s next in crushing technology. As a leader in the aggregates industry, we continually strive to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations through the development of future-focused, innovative technologies.’

In addition to the two major product launches at the show, Metso’s exhibit will highlight a broad range of equipment and wear and spare parts, all designed to help make aggregates production operations more efficient and assets work harder.

Products on display will include:

  • Metso Lokotrack LT1213S impactor for maximizing capacity with the toughest and stickiest feed materials. The unit is equipped with a special two-stage feeder and heavy-duty pre-screen, precise dual-slope fine screen, 90° radial return conveyor and belt scale with satellite connection, and stand-by function providing up to 20% lower fuel consumption
  • Metso Lokotrack Bi-Power scalping screen for improved energy efficiency in heavy-duty pre-screening and other demanding applications
  • Metso ICr wireless information and control system for Lokotrack
  • New-generation Metso IC crusher automation system.

In addition, an innovative mobile primary plant, the Lokotrack Urban LT106, designed for community-friendly crushing in urban environments, will be introduced.

Other exciting solutions in the spotlight will include: Metso HRC8 high-pressure grinding rolls that have been specially adapted for the production of manufactured sand; the Nordberg GP7, Metso’s latest and most versatile crusher for demanding secondary crushing applications; and the new-generation Nordberg NP-Series horizontal impact crushers that offer significantly improved safety, performance and uptime.
