Metso Outotec reach Nordtrack milestone
New crushing and screening equipment range breaks 100 units sold milestone
METSO Outotec have passed the 100 units sold milestone for their Nordtrack mobile crushing and screening equipment. Global sales of the new product range – which includes impact/jaw crushers, screens and conveyors – began in the first quarter of 2020.
‘This is a remarkable achievement for a new product range; especially considering how the pandemic has impacted the construction industry around the world,’ commented Vesa Tuloisela, director, Nordtrack at Metso Outotec.
‘It strengthens our expectation that potential Nordtrack customers appreciate the reliability and support of a premium brand. We believe that the demand for aggregate recycling equipment is on a steady path.’
According to Metso Outotec, the biggest demand came from the North American and European markets. Customers have ordered Nordtrack crushers for demolition waste sites and quarries, whilst Nordtrack screens have been purchased for aggregate screening and industrial applications, such as mulch screening and topsoil pre-screening. Mobile conveyors, meanwhile, have been supplied as auxiliary equipment to complete the aggregates processing line.
‘It is a range that meets the needs of small- and medium-sized contractors who are looking to expand their business in aggregates, whether it is recycling or small-scale virgin aggregate production,’ said Vesa Tuloisela.
‘The features and options of the range have been selected in a way that the equipment is easy to use and transport between sites. We have plans to announce new features and range extensions in the near future.’
