Magna Tyres launch new ADT tyre
New Magna M-Terrain articulated dumptruck tyre available in 29.5R25 size with E4 tread pattern
MAGNA Tyres Group have launched the Magna M-Terrain – the first E4-rated tyre in the company’s product range to be specially designed for articulated dumptrucks (ADTs).
Before the launch of the Magna M-Terrain, which is available in size 29.5R25 – a common size for ADT wheels, Magna Tyres already produced tyres of this size with MA02 (E3+/L3+ tread), MA05 and MA08 (both L5 treads) and MA05S (L5 smooth tread) patterns.
However, the launch of the M-Terrain means Magna Tyres are now able to offer customers an 29.5R25 tyre with an E4 tread pattern, to better meet the requirements of end-users.
The new Magna M-Terrain comes with a number specific technical features, including a more aggressive tread pattern which is said to provide excellent traction in challenging off-road conditions. Also, because of the wide tyre shoulder design, protection of the sidewall and flotation are improved, while the tread compound is said to provide excellent resistance to cutting and abrasion.
Following critical tests at different locations, the Magna M-Terrain is already in service at open-pit mines and quarries in Poland, Australia, South Korea, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
