Live demonstrations at Hillhead 2007
LARGE machinery at work in a real quarry environment is what makes the Hillhead experience so unique. As usual the exhibition’s dedicated quarry face, rock-processing and recycling demonstration areas will be abuzz with activity as some of the latest plant and equipment is put through its paces alongside competitive machinery. The following item offers a very brief look of just some of the equipment that visitors will be able to see in action at Hillhead 2007.
Caterpillar/Finning will be demonstrating a broad range of equipment including their new H-Series wheel loaders, 775F rigid dumptruck, 88-tonne 385C crawler excavator and 48-tonne D9T tracked dozer, while Bell Equipment will be demonstrating the latest version of their flagship 50-tonne capacity articulated dumptruck, the new G2-series B50D, which will be in operation alongside the next-in-class 40-tonne capacity B40D. Liebherr’s demonstration will include their new 70-tonne-class R964C SME Litronic excavator in full quarry rig; Marubeni-Komatsu will be putting their 57-tonne PC600-7 through its paces; and Doosan Infracore will be showing off popular models from their recently launched DL (wheel loader) and DX (tracked excavator) ranges.
Other exhibitors demonstrating mobile plant and/or associated equipment in the quarry face area will include Ace Plant, engcon UK, Case Construction Equipment, JCB, Haulmark Equipment, Hyundai Heavy Industries, OTR Tyres, Volvo Construction Equipment and Yarwoods.
Around the corner in the extensive rock-processing demonstration area a wide range of mobile crushing, screening and washing plant will be in operation including the X44 SBS cone crusher and S-6 Doublescreen from Extec Screens & Crushers; the XA400 hydraulic-adjust jaw crusher and the latest Chieftain and Horizon screens from TEREX Pegson/Powerscreen; and the recently launched C-1540 cone crusher from TEREX Finlay. Also on demonstration in this area will be crushing and screening plant from Fintec Crushing & Screening, a mobile washing plant from PM Systems, a new track-mounted rock trommel from Nirox, and the latest tracked impactor from Tesab Engineering.
Meanwhile, over in the recycling demonstration area, official sponsors TEREX Finlay will demonstrating their brand new I-1310RS impact crusher, while McCloskey International will be showing off the capabilities of their new R155 three-way-split recycling screener, RubbleMaster will be putting their new 200+ tonnes/h RM100 unit through its paces and OM SpA will be demonstrating their new Atlante concrete shredder/C&D waste-recycling plant.
Also demonstrating recycling plant and related equipment in this section will be Blue Machinery, CGCS Midlands, Herbst Machinery and Smulders Waste Technology.
